Body Acceptance Week (October 21-25, 2024) is an exciting initiative promoting body acceptance—including body positivity, body neutrality, and body liberation—for all.
Research shows that people who experience high levels of body dissatisfaction feel their bodies are flawed in comparison to others, and these folks are more likely to suffer from feelings of depression, isolation, low self-esteem, and eating disorders.1 As part of NEDA’s commitment to eating disorder prevention, Body Acceptance Week provides resources, education, and support for those experiencing body dissatisfaction and its associated risk factors.
